The purpose of the information presented hereto is to inform these persons about the processing of their personal information by the Company in order to manage reports concerning adverse effects and quality complaints regarding medicines, cosmetics and other pharmaceutical preparations that the Company produces and/or markets in Greece.

1. What kind of personal data do we collect and store in our archives?

The categories of personal data collected from users of our products (patients and consumers), who present an adverse effect or deal with a problem that concerns the quality of our products (regardless of whether they report the adverse event themselves or whether this is reported by health care professionals) are those that the pharmaceutical legislation and the relative legal framework stipulates, and these are mostly the following:

a. patient’s initials or patient code number, gender, age, or age group

b. information regarding the pharmaceutical treatment or use of pharmaceutical preparations of the Company,

c. description of the adverse effect and/or quality problem of the pharmaceutical preparation and the outcome thereof and

d. in case of an adverse effect, the medical history of the patient.

The Company may exceptionally collect the patient’s forename and surname and other identification information (e.g., their contact information) only upon the event that it is deemed necessary to follow-up comprehensively the course of health of the patient/consumer and of the case in general.

The categories of personal data that our Company collects and stores from health care professionals (doctors, pharmacists etc.) who declare an adverse effect or submit a quality complaint are their forename and surname, profession and contact information (phone and/or email address).

2. What are the aims of and the legal bases for Processing Personal Data?

We collect, process and store personal data of users of the Company’s products (patients and consumers) and of health care professionals who declare an adverse reaction or a quality complaint for the purpose of complying to the pharmaceutical legislation and the relative pharmaceutical legal framework regarding pharmacovigilance and quality assurance of medicines, cosmetics and other preparations that the Company manufactures and/or markets in Greece.

3. To whom your personal data is disclosed?

In principle, your personal data is not disclosed to third parties. In exception, your data may be disclosed to third parties (as indicatively to pharmacovigilance service providers) who contribute us to the recording and evaluation of reports on adverse effects and bound to process your personal data exclusively on our account and based on our recorded instructions and not to their own benefit.

Furthermore, as it is provided by the relative legislation, we disclose anonymously or pseudonymized data regarding the adverse effect to the competent authorities [such as the National Organization for Medicines of Greece (EOF), the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the European database Eudravigilance], as well as to foreign Marketing Authorization Holders (MAH), of which we have exclusive distribution rights for their medicines in Greece.

4. How do we process personal data and for how long do we keep them?

We take every necessary measure to ensure the security, integrity and confidentiality of your personal data.

In principle, the physical and electronic archives of side effects reports and quality complaints are stored for a period of six (6) years after their initial registration. Exceptionally, identification data of patients/consumers (e.g, forename and surname and contact information) are exclusively kept for a period necessary to follow up the conclusion of the consumer/patient case and the receipt of all necessary data to accurately register the adverse effect and/or the quality complaint.
